Using water-based methods, hydroponic plants can grow in 98 percent less water than their traditional counterparts. It is also environmentally friendly, which will continue to be a huge benefit. One of the biggest advantages of hydroponics is the increased nutritional value of the plants.

The plant roots do not need to look for the nutrients they need in soil. With a nutrient solution delivered in a highly soluble form, the plants do not require much energy to consume nutrients. With a hydroponics system, the nutrients are force-fed to the plants instead of being found in the soil. Hence, it requires less water than other methods of agriculture.
